Cruising aboard Quantum of the Seas, Royal Caribbean

We embarked on a 7 Night Cruise with Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas from Shanghai China, visiting Kobe and Nagoya in Japan.

Although the ship is too big to sail pass this view, we could witness the incredible Shanghai Skyline during the day and the night on our last day of our tour through China.

Quantum of the Seas’ Bionic Bar was a quirky and futuristic addition to any cruise we’d seen before.

You just take a seat and order off an ipad, where you can choose from a variety of cocktails on the ipad menu or choose to design your own with your chosen ingredients.

Simply tap your cruise seapass card and the robots will spring into action making your chosen concoction!

Another high-tech wonder on Quantum of the Seas is the glass observation capsule ‘North Star’.
This observation capsule lifts up and over the side of the ship, 300ft above sea level providing fantastic 360 degree views over the ship and out to sea.

This innovative technology made for a very cool experience and most definitely a highlight on this ship.

We love heading to the back of a ship to view the wake and watch ourselves sail away to our next destination.

This is from inside the TWO70 Theatre and Bar, which also acts as a café and library during the day. Such a lovely spot to sink into a pod lounge with a good book or even a special cocktail from the bar.

One of our favourite things to do on board is to grab a cocktail and watch the sunset out on the open deck. The hazy China Sea sky made for a beautiful blended pastel coloured sky.

We hope you enjoyed this video and blog of Quantum of the seas, and we hope it inspired some wanderlust for your next cruising adventure!
