3 Days in the Daintree Rainforest

The World’s Oldest Rainforest The Daintree is situated on the north east coast of Queensland, bordering another Natural World Wonder and World Heritage Listed site The Great Barrier Reef.

We stayed at Noah’s Campground for four days and explored this stunning region.

We didn't do too much other than chill at our campsite, however one stop that we highly recommend is the Daintree Ice Creamery. There are two ice cream shops and this one is the second shop you will come across once you get off the ferry. They only have a select number of flavours daily as they are made from local fruits and are based on availability.

Our tips for visiting The Daintree Rainforest;

  • Book your campsite early as they are all very popular and have limited sites - you could be waiting weeks for a camp site if you don't plan your trip.

  • The ferry over doesn't take long, but sometimes the WAIT does - To ensure you don't get stuck waiting for over an hour we suggest getting to the ferry before 9am to beat the crowd.
